Douglas R. McLachlan Douglas R. McLachlan was born in Flint, Michigan. He came to know Christ at the age of 16 at Montrose Baptist Church in Montrose, Michigan. His call to the ministry came simultaneously with his salvation experience as he had a burden to be a servant of the Lord. He married Marie Winer, also of Flint, Michigan, and they have three adult children, Rebecca, Matthew, and Bethany, as well as seven grandchildren. While senior pastor of Fourth Baptist Church, Dr. McLachlan served as president of Central Baptist Theological Seminary from 1986 to 1987 and from 1994 to 2003 and taught in the areas of homiletics and pastoral theology. The church, seminary, and Christian school relocated to their present campus in Plymouth under his leadership in 1998. In addition to those ministries, Dr. McLachlan has been a board member of various fundamental mission agencies, two Bible colleges, and Baptist associations in Michigan and Minnesota. From June of 1987 through May of 1994 he served on the staff of Northland Baptist Bible College as Chairman of the Department of Bible and Graduate Studies. In September 2007 he returned to Northland in a part-time teaching and itinerate ministry. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chancellor, and President Emeritus of Central Baptist Theological Seminary. Post-Secondary Education
