The mission of Central Seminary Library is to support the academic aspects of the mission of the seminary by satisfying the programmatic information requirements of the faculty and students.
The library at Central Seminary provides for expansion of the collection plus a spacious study area with a number of study carrels and reading tables. Several computers with word processing, research capabilities, and access to the internet are available for student use, along with a microfilm/fiche reader and a copier. Possibly Related Articles |
Central Seminary students have access to the libraries of other theological seminaries in the area. These libraries hold about 500,000 volumes representing about 250,000 different titles, constituting the most significant resource in theological studies between Chicago and the West Coast. The massive library of the University of Minnesota also is accessible, along with the Minneapolis Public Library, one of the finest and best-equipped in the country.
