Romanian Campus

In 1990 the seminary was approached by Baptist pastors in the country of Romania concerning their need for advanced training. Under communism they were denied the opportunity of starting schools or receiving training in the one school that already existed in the country. As a response to this need, the seminary's MABS program was offered in Romania. The only limitation was that the students had to understand English and be able to write papers in English. Faculty from the seminary taught the same courses that were offered in the program in the States.

The program moved to Arad, Romania, where the Emanuel Baptist Church, pastored by Beniamin Costea, made facilities available. It was then decided to offer the standard M.Div. degree. The purpose for the program is not only to train pastors, but eventually to train select men to take over the program and teach the courses in Romanian. This process has begun and some of these men are now working on advanced degrees. We are grateful to the Lord for this expansion of our vision to directly serve believers in other countries.

Currently, the director of the Romanian program is Pastor Beniamin Costea, who is a graduate of the program.
