Master of Divinity

Those students who have received the Bachelor of Arts degree or its academic equivalent from a regular four year college or university may receive the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. A candidate for the degree of Master of Divinity must complete three full years of prescribed graduate theological study with a grade point average of at least a C (2.0). Transfer of credits from other institutions is permitted, but a minimum of the last 32 hours must be taken at Central Seminary. Identical required courses taken in a Bible College may be waived. See Waiver of Course under Academic Policies in the catalog.

The curriculum is designed so that the student will have enough elective hours to emphasize an area of special interest. Some areas that may be emphasized, other than the pastorate, are counseling, missions and youth ministries. Women may enter this program but in accordance with Central's commitment to biblical truth must substitute alternate courses for homiletics, expository preaching, pastoral theology and church administration. The program must be completed in five years.
