Students in the D.Min. program may choose to emphasize a particular area of ministry through their electives. Central Seminary offers electives in the following areas:

Expository Preaching

Students who emphasize Expository Preaching aim for excellence in the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. This emphasis focuses on the pulpit.

Shepherding

By emphasizing Shepherding, students develop pastoral leadership and administration skills in order to define their ministry's mission, assess its effectiveness, and organize for maximum impact.

General

Central Seminary also offers a general emphasis which allows the student to choose his own emphasis by choosing between course offerings.
