The purpose of the Old Testament department is to provide the student with a foundational knowledge of the Old Testament Scriptures on the graduate or postgraduate level.

The goal is to instill in the student an appreciation for the value of the Old Testament in biblical, theological, and New Testament studies, and to equip the student with the essential tools for lifelong study, teaching, and preaching of the Old Testament Scriptures.
