Roque Albuquerque has served as senior pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Northeast Brazil since 2002 and as professor of Greek and NT exegesis in Cariri Baptist Seminary since 1997. He has been professor of Classical Greek at the Federal University of Ceará and has taught NT exegesis in several states in Brazil. As a senior pastor Roque has planted four churches and has been involved in missionary work. In Brazil he has been translating into Portuguese several books, among them, New Testament Greek for Beginners by J. Gresham Machen and Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics by Daniel B. Wallace. He also has written several essays and articles published in Brazil. Roque is married to Adriana, and they have two boys. He has a black belt in Karate, and enjoys playing soccer.
