All students at Central Seminary are expected to be active members of local churches. Since the purpose of the seminary is to prepare men and women for “separatist Baptist witness and work,” new students are required to seek membership in local churches that endorse Central Seminary’s statement of purpose and affirm the system of teaching set forth in the seminary’s doctrinal statement. Specifically, students must seek membership in churches that are Baptist, fundamentalist, separatist, dispensationalist, and cessationist. These churches encourage seminary students to become as involved as possible.
