A Word from the Pastor
Fourth Baptist Church views the doxology of God and the discipleship of man as its highest priorities. By doxology of God we mean the glory of God. Everything we do individually and corporately must be for the sake of his name, to exalt his person. By discipleship of man we mean the salvation and sanctification of man. We want each person to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Fourth Baptist Church is a place where Central Seminary students can observe and participate in nearly every aspect of local church ministry while benefiting from a personal, mentoring relationship with the pastors.

Bible Baptist Church of Otsego, MN is a conservative, independent Baptist church located in the northwestern suburbs of the Twin Cities, roughly 30 miles NW of Minneapolis with a congregation size of 60 people. Our mission is to glorify God, and therefore we are committed to: worshipping God, proclaiming God’s word, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping believers, and edifying one another.

Our chief desire can be distilled in the words of Christ: that we might know eternal life with Him by knowing 'the only true God' (John 17:3). Our prayer is to boast in accord with the instructions of Jeremiah: 'let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD' (Jeremiah 9:24). Oh, to know our God as He wants to be known!

Our church has a special focus to reach out to Chinese. Therefore, if you have a heart to minister to Chinese in the mission field, our church will provide you a wonderful experience of Chinese culture. Our church members come from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Our Sunday service is in Mandarin and translated into English. All of our youth and children programs are in English.

We are intentional about mentoring men for ministry and have a group of men currently meeting weekly for study, accountability, prayer, and conversation about ministry. We are also committed to church planting and have recently commissioned our associate pastor to work in Vancouver’s urban core. At Southview our desire is to partner together with Central Seminary by being a channel to practical ministry for its students. Since seminary is experienced by the entire family, our desire is to come along side the husband and wife offering encouragement and accountability as well as friendship and fellowship. Our motive in this process is to fulfill the mandate to love others more than ourselves, but to also equip God’s servants for the work of the ministry. Our desire is not only for the husband headed into ministry to receive practical training but also for his wife as she will be working alongside him in that future ministry.
